My name is Diego and I have 5+ years experience as a Teacher. I find it passionate about tutoring because it allows to make a direct and meaningful impact on students' learning journeys. Having worked as a SEN teacher at Cambridge School, I have had the opportunity to teach and support autistic students with a wide range of learning difficulties, as well as social, emotional, and communication needs. This experience has been incredibly fulfilling, as I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to tailor my teaching methods to meet individual needs, allowing students to build confidence and thrive in their own way. Additionally, my two years of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), where I worked with highly complex students—many of whom were low-functioning or exhibited challenging behavior—has honed my patience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. I believe in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students feel understood and empowered to overcome barriers. Furthermore, my year of teaching at CEIP Gregoria Artacho in Spain, working with Year 2, Year 5, and Year 6 students, gave me a broader understanding of mainstream education. This experience helped me refine my ability to adapt to different age groups and learning styles while maintaining a structured and engaging classroom. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on individual strengths and needs. I use positive reinforcement, structured routines, and clear communication to create a comfortable learning space. I’m committed to being flexible, patient, and empathetic, ensuring that each student can progress at their own pace while feeling supported and encouraged. My aim as a tutor is to inspire confidence, promote independence, and create a tailored approach to learning that helps each student reach their full potential.
