Childcare Choices serves as a comprehensive portal for parents to access childcare information and determine their eligibility for Government-funded childcare initiatives. Established in 2017, it replaced the former childcare allowance, consolidating childcare data on a user-friendly website.

The launch included provisions for 15 hours of free childcare, 30 hours of free childcare, and tax-free childcare.

The government designed this system to offer “busy families with options that meet their needs, making it easier to identify the most suitable childcare offer”.
