I am a British born Punjabi lady. I am a mum of grown up children. I have worked as a child support worker with children with challenging behaviours aged 10-18. In this role I provided support and care to help these young people develop independence and living skills. I have worked as a TA in a SEN school and as a tutor with 16-19 year olds. I currently work with victims of abuse. I am a fun, trustworthy, reliable person, that is always open to new experiences. I feel I am very patient, as working within these roles can be very challenging and you need to be able to stay calm and focused at all times. I feel I am a very good listener and have good communication skills both verbally and written. I am aware of child protection and safeguarding. I also have knowledge of data protection and every child matters. I have completed many training courses including, food hygiene, first aid, fire safety, medication awareness, health and safety and Team Teach. I do not drive but this does not stop me doing what I need to.
