Encouraging and experienced English tutor

Hello! I'm Tilly, an English tutor with a first-class English degree and TEFL/TESOL qualification. I am enthusiastic, personable and hardworking: I will go above and beyond to engage you or your child. I am passionate about helping people who may not have the resources to achieve their potential, or have fallen behind. This is why I am currently volunteering as an English tutor with Action Tutoring, who help disadvantaged young people in English and Maths. I tutor Primary English, so am familiar with SATs preparation, and have a good understanding of English GCSE and A-level. I tailor my lessons to the needs of my students, taking into account their preferred learning style, to make the classes as stimulating as possible. My approach is calm and encouraging, as I know the importance in building confidence in learning, especially for those who need extra support. My English and Music degree has helped me with essay writing and time management, and I am keen to pass this on.
