My name is Sillina (Lina) Cheng, a 2nd-year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Edinburgh with dual Thai-French citizenship. I grew up in Thailand, attending Concordian International School, and am fluent in Thai, Chinese, and English. I have two younger sisters (ages 17 and 9) and played a major role in raising my youngest from birth until I moved abroad for studies. I completed my final three years of high school at Saint-Charles International School, Switzerland, where I served as Student Council President and volunteered as a primary school teaching assistant, gaining leadership, teaching, and childcare experience. I have 6 years of part-time babysitting experience, including caring for newborns and young children, and have volunteered at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, supporting unwell children. I am First Aid trained (certificate may need renewal) and knowledgeable in child development, Montessori-style activities, and creating safe, stimulating environments. I am responsible, caring, and value activities that promote emotional intelligence, motor skills, and healthy habits over screen time. I am fully available on weekends, flexible with hours, and familiar with Edinburgh, including public transport and family-friendly areas. My rate is £20/hr (negotiable), and I provide full attention to children during babysitting, using devices only during naps for quiet study or reading unless preferred otherwise.
