I am a qualified youth worker and primary school teacher. I have just finished working at Friarage Primary within Scarborough. I have had over 15 years experience as a teacher and have worked as a supply teacher in most of the schools within Scarborough. I am married and my husband and I have recently started our adoption journey with North Yorkshire County Council. My DBS/CRB is up to date and I have recently undergone a full medical as part of the adoption process. We have 14 nieces and nephews which we see on a regular basis. Every week I run an 'Aunty Club' for 4 of these children ( aged 3, 6 8 and 9). I take them out each week to various places including local parks, sea front, farms and libraries. I cook for them each week and during the school holidays they sleepover at our house. I love spending time with them and enjoy my role as Aunty very much. I also enjoy undertaking craft activities with them including card making, painting and playing games.
I am flexible, enthusiastic, empathetic and have a natural rapport with children. I am able to build up positive professional and trusting relationships with children.
I have tried to upload my photograph but this site has not allowed me to. I am available at various times and dates dependent upon my supply teaching commitments. I am able to provide evidence of identity and official documentation as requested.
I enjoy cycling, walking, reading, going to local pub quizzes and drama. I have a car and am willing to drive within a 20 radius of Scarborough.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
