In matters of child care some skills are imperative and completely essential. These skills could form a mixture of empathy, perseverance, perspective taking skills, kindness and patience. A proficient baby sitter should be highly skilled in organising and participating in daily activities of children, able to perform simple household activities efficiently, independent and self-confident. When it comes to medical emergencies, a satisfying child carer should be able to manage every uncomfortable situation as there is a high probability of unexpected contexts. Moreover, the person taking care of a child should have the ability to act quickly and stay calm in medical emergencies, should have the basic knowledge of SIDS-safe practices and be able to analise the circumstance properly, in order to find the best solution for the issue.
Nevertheless, taking into account another aspect of a valuable child carer, a good sense of humor and playfulness is required, along with some other interpersonal skills and qualities such as altruism, gentleness, grace, imagination and inventiveness.
Finally, I could define myself as an ambitious babysitter with a keen ability to provide the best child care based on individual child's personality, age and circumstances. Especially known for handling young adults with special needs by planning out well-paced educational activities and teaching them social skills. Furthermore, my interpersonal skills, my bilingualism and my musical talent always helped me catch the attention of the infants, by organising original games and plays, cheerful activities and exercises.
