- I am a hard worker and have great communication skills and I am very willing to learn and take other peoples advice. I am self-motivated and enthusiastic and i am able to work well in a team and as an individual also have 2 years of experience doing voluntary work in a primary school and nursery where I learned patience is the key to working with young children. I have also communicated with head teacher and teachers social workers which have helped me improve my communication skills I have also gained some experience child-minding young children for friends and family.
in my voluntary work here are some of the roles I had to do
in this job I worked with children from ages 3 years right up to the age of 12 my role was to do activities with the children help with daily routines for example getting the children snack ready in the nursery and setting up for lunch in the primary school. I also had to work with the members of staff with there planning and communicate with them so I could plan activities I was wanting to do with the children by asking the teacher for there permission.
In this job I gained experience in working with children and how they develop and learn. I also carried out observations on children and then from the observation I carried out activities that would benefit them.
the skills that I demonstrated in this job is working as part of a team and communicational skills for example when planning with other members of staff what was going to be happening for the week. I also learnt that patients is the key when it comes to working with young children and being enthusiastic so that the children will be in an environment what they are willing to listen and learn,
